The discussion on yesterday’s show was one of intense grief not to mention sorrow.  My sponsors and I discussed the “Jena 6″ situation that’s happening in Jena, Louisiana.  Dr. Taffy Wagner is from Louisiana and Regina Baker and myself orginated from the south as well. 

Needless to say, we were sorely disappointed to see history repeat itself with racial unrest in our country some almost 60 years later!!  What does this say about our great country, better yet, what does this say about us as a human race?

 As individuals, racism and prejudice should be absolutely unacceptable!!  And one solution would be is to not continue to pass this pathetic, fearful perpetuation down to the next generations.  We must began to love ourselves enough that we can extend love to others.  We have to individually be willing and brave enough to take the “mask off”, face the real “truth” about our own insecurities, get a “reality check” and change the way we think and behave concerning people that are different from us.   

Racism and prejudice derives from one having a low self-esteem, fear, unfounded deep rooted hatred and a lack of knowledge of someone other than those that may look, act or even think similarly from them. 

Bottom line, if we as a nation of people do not quickly become intolerant of such detrimental prejudice, we all loose.  This unfruitful behavior destroys a nation, not to mention us as a people and our generations to come!  It adds nothing to anyone but shame and disgust, destruction and demise.  Together we can change the face of a nation, one by one by choosing to live our lives in and through love!!
